McConnell Blooms is my own business run from home, based in rural Perthshire where I provide seasonal, fresh cut flowers that have all been self grown in the fresh Scottish outdoors. I have always loved gardening, and over the years have established vegetable plots and a mixed orchard and I now have the time to develop something that I am truly passionate about. I provide flowers for various local florists and am always looking to expand my list of customers. Have a look around the site and if you are interested or have any queries please contact me!
This is very much a growing business (in all senses!) and I am happy to consider all sorts of flowery requests. From the one off seasonal bouquets and posies to DIY buckets of flowers for weddings, parties and celebrations; through to helping with setting up your scheme in planning and at your event.
Flowers suit many occasions as thank you’s, thinking of you, in sympathy, congratulations etc. The flowers and plants that I am growing are not easily available from florists and the high street. Many are chosen for their scent and often need a bit more tender care than the large sales outlets can give. This means that what I have available will change during the season, even from week to week as I am more weather dependent, but they will still be lovely and bring a smile to your face.
I am a member of the Flowers From the Farm group which promotes the use of British flowers and foliage; we can grow so many wonderful plants but nearly all cut flowers are imported. Now is the time to buy local – grown not flown.
